We cover the Common Core required basic fractions of 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 1/6 and 1/8. Fraction models come in the shape of fraction strips and circle fractions. Answer sheets are provided where applicable. Cut and glue activities are included.

Circle fractions are integral to learning fractions. In this section you will find circle fraction models and circle fraction worksheets that introduce kids to the basics of circle fractions. Each worksheet is a simple cut and glue for the fractions of 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 1/6, and 1/8. Kids can color before cutting to personalize their circles. They can make them pizza pieces, wedges of fruit, a donut, a cookie or pieces of pie. There are three pages of circle fraction models in color and black and white and six worksheets five of which are cut and glue.

Circle Fractions - How to Create Equal Parts
Drawing lines through circles to make equal parts isn’t always as easy as it seems. These circle fractions how to create equal parts worksheets give kids the chance to identify a circle with equal parts, follow step-by-step instructions for how to divide a circle into equal parts, and practice creating circles with equal parts. Kids will need a ruler or other straight edge for these worksheets. Here’s the main point – all the lines have to go through the center point! Answer sheets included.
Fractions with Pattern Blocks
Kids create fractions with pattern blocks as a fun hands-on way for kids to visibly see and create fractional parts. In four of these worksheets kids will fit the pattern blocks into the shapes on each page. On the other two pages they create teh fractional parts and write their answers on the worksheet. They will identify, draw, and label the fractional parts of 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 1/6, and 1/8 (one worksheet has 1/12, too). An answer sheet comes with each worksheet.
